Fingers crossed for good weather this year for the River Dart Country Park’s “Picnic in the Park” on Sunday 2nd June; great fun for children with lots of activities in the woods and in the River – just a 5 minute drive away from Holwell.

For those wanting to enjoy a bit more in the way of exercise, there is the Dartmoor Classic Cyclosportive that takes part over 100 miles of the Dartmoor National Park on 23rd June. The Teignmouth Folk Festival is held at nearby Teignmouth from 21st to 23rd June and always a popular event in a great setting
The Telegraph “Ways with Words Festival” is one of the UK’s most popular and famous Literature Festivals that always showcases great talent in an informal setting at the nearby Historic Dartington Hall. Another must for the Summer Calendar is the Dartmouth Royal Regatta; a wonderful setting on the bustling River Dart with the majestic backdrop of the Brittania Royal Naval College and Agatha Christie’s Greenways House on the banks of the River. Held over the last weekend in August; 29th and 31st.
