Spring time at Holwell brings many wonderful sights, not least of all the beautiful gambling lambs and the stunning array of bluebells.
Clearly visible from the driveway leading to Holwell Holiday Cottages is a carpet of “mauve” Bluebells!
These quintessentially British flowers really do cover Holwell Lawn, a famous equestrian cross country course, in a swathe of colour. Flowering between late April and June, May is the best time to see this spectacle.
Holwell Lawn is a 10 minute walk from the cottages, passing close to Becka Brook and the new “Clapper Bridge” installed by Dartmoor National Park in March 2013.
